WEEE and Recycling
WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) refers to waste resulting from the use of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), such as washing machines, computers, vacuum cleaners, and refrigerators. This equipment is organized into 10 categories.
Deliver your waste to the Elétron Network.
Our work at Rede Elétron begins with the collection of WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). The network's collection points are organized according to 3 types of waste: size (large and small equipment) and fragility (in the case of light bulbs, for safety reasons, it is necessary to ensure that their integrity is not compromised).
Large Equipment
This category includes equipment such as dishwashers and washing machines, refrigerators, air conditioners, LCD TVs, and all large appliances. Because they are bulky, they are collected at municipal recycling centers or by waste management operators. They can also be returned to the retailer when purchasing new appliances, at a ratio of 1 to 1.
Small Equipment
This is the category with the widest variety of equipment, including computers, printers, tablets, cell phones, vacuum cleaners, toasters, lamps, radios, cameras, toys, and many others.
Light bulbs
The lamps are processed in a specific way, due to the need to guarantee their integrity during the collection process. The Rede Elétron network includes fluorescent, tubular, ultraviolet and compact fluorescent lamps, sodium vapor discharge lamps, metal halide lamps, mercury vapor lamps, LEDs and Xenon lamps.
The place where your waste is transformed!
From the collection points, we send your waste to the Elétron Network Reception Centers. Here, a sorting operation is carried out, separating it into 6 operational streams . This waste is then sent to our Treatment and Recovery Units, where a series of operations are conducted to treat and recycle the waste, removing hazardous components and recovering materials.
